Lost sisters
I've been added on Facebook by my sister, how is that for awesome? I've only ever met her once when she was about 6 know she's 25 and she's added me on Facebook. She is a half sister from a brief marriage my dad had, so, a new wife after that, some family jealousies and politics and I wasn't able to find out how to contact her or even what surname she was using. But now she's added me and we have exchanged a few messages she's doing really well, got a degree works in finance. I'm really quite excited. I'll even update this blog to say how it is going, see I am excited. Ha

Only 4 posts down and already I am a tardy blogger, still I don't think anyones watching. My youngest lost again at football last week, it was only 4 1 mind, so they are getting better, the first game was 16 0. This is only the second time I have seen him my TKD class clashes with the games, they have improved, they have stopped tackling each other, mostly, including the goal keeper. They would tackle the guy on their team who was about to score because they wanted to score. They have stopped fighting, physically, about who is going to take free kicks and throw ins. If they can ever bring themselves to pass to each other they could be in with a chance. Here's hoping they win soon.
Classes are picking up looks like I might have another 2 students, I am doing 2 free self defence classes at Watton, I didn't do the advertising myself and it has been quite extensive, I hope I don't get more people turn up than I can cope with. Still if I can get a few more along on a Sunday morning it could start to look a bit more of a long term project. Still concentrating on patterns and the basics in the class, 6 weeks till grading ooooohhhhh peeing myself I really hope all my students pass.
Remember diets and passing fitness regimes are a waste of time that probably do more harm than good, it's you life you need to change.

The training is easing into actually doing some good, calves hurt so it must be. The work on the rowing machine is picking up getting faster, hopefully by the time the dan training starts I can cope.
The class is good five weeks till grading, I am worried the patterns don't seem to be going in. I think I'll break them down into handy chunks and have another go. Still need work out how to get shoulders to relax.

Broken iphone on Wednesday, refused to turn on, turned itself into a plastic brick. Booked in to see the Apple guys at their shop on Saturday, charged it tried it a few times, no change. Until half an hour before i set of for the shop when it turned itself on and behaved like nothing happened. The Apple guys were great suggested a few solutions and offered me a new phone if I wanted it. I'll stick with the one I have, see if the system restore works.
Today's class was fun, some people get a bit tense around the shoulders when punching or blocking so the first half of the class was based on that, unfortunately the guy who gets really tense decided not to come this week. Still it was good relaxing then exploding blocks. Next week I'll do something similar with punches, hopefully my tensest student will turn up

I've started training properly now about 40 mins of walking in the morning a run at night and an increasing amount of rowing each day, on a machine. Of course the taekwondo continues teaching and doing. I have to teach 2 hours on Friday, one ordinary and one sparring. I've been teaching tkd since October and it gets increasingly hard to think of new ideas www.4kicks.com helps a lot.

First post, let's make it short, nobody may ever read it. I wanted to concentrate on my taekwondo with this. I teach a class at the Watton youth and community centre in Norfolk, UK. It is on a Sunday morning from 10 till 11. I have not been running it for very long, but I have a few people coming I could do with some more. Today I was concentrating on self defence and we spent the lesson defending against a front punch. We did just the one attack and concentrated on just one way of defending yourself from it. I was worried as it was the narrowest lesson I have done, it worked well though and I felt that apart from the senior students all moved on a lot, Senior students benefitted from helping others which refined their techniques. At least, that is my take on it and I think its correct. Time to start planning for friday when iI teach the chief instructors class, because he is on holiday, a much bigger class than mine.
